The
“Marvelization” of entertainment refers to the dominance of large,
established franchises (e.g., Marvel, Harry Potter, Pokemon, Disney, TMNT)
across multiple areas of entertainment, such as films, series, games and merchandise. These franchises also appear in unrelated platforms (e.g., Marvel
characters appearing in Magic: The Gathering or multiple franchises
appearing in Fortnite), and continually expand through spin-offs,
adaptations, crossovers, and brand collaborations.
